To participate in the Duke PBMT Rainbow of Heroes Walk is to witness miracles in progress.

The posters and personal stories reflect the unflagging optimism of the patients and their families, the dedicated work of the researchers and clinicians, and the heartfelt compassion of the caregivers and friends. I was especially moved by the release of balloons at the end of the walk -- a fitting symbol of the wondrously uplifting, hope-filled event.
